Virginia Beach City FC Announce Full Year Academy Tryouts

NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia Beach City FC Academy announced Thursday April 14th, 2022 the opening of registration for the club’s Full Year Academy tryouts. Tryouts will run from May 15th through the 25th with specific tryout dates assigned to certain age groups (see bottom of the article for dates by age group). The Full Year Academy is intended for athletes in the U-8 through U-19 age groups. All training sessions are held at Norfolk Collegiate School at 7336 Granby Street. Virginia Beach City FC Academy offers a year-round competitive youth soccer environment for boys and girls ages 7 to 18. Academy travel teams train a minimum of twice per week and play games typically on Sundays. There will be scheduled breaks throughout the year around public school calendars, holidays, developmental soccer breaks and end of the season play. Entry into the Academy Program guarantees the opportunity to participate in Virginia Beach City FC’s Summer Academy Pro Experience, Summer Elite Camp Series, Winter Academy, and various tournaments. The Virginia Beach City FC Summer Academy Pro Experience offers boys and girls an opportunity to gain alternative experiences outside of their formal youth club environment from coaching staff and players at the professional, semi-professional, and collegiate levels. The training environment replicates sessions run by our semi-pro First Team and special guests featured each week. The Summer Elite Camp Series is a position specific summer camp lasting three weeks for five days a week. The summer camp is an additional cost but is included in the price of the Full Year Academy + program. The Winter Academy program promises three training sessions a week and allows the opportunity to sign up for the three-week Winter Elite Camp Series and Futsal. Both programs are an additional cost. The price of the two programs are included in the Full Year Academy + program option.
